Big T Auto Repair has been part of the Saskatoon community for more than 30 years. Originally established as Thane’s Big T Auto Repair, Thane Olson built the shop from the ground up and developed it into the business it is today.
On May 1, 2027, Niko Schneider purchased the shop and took over ownership, continuing to operate it with the same values and philosophy that have been part of Big T from the beginning. Niko had spent the previous four years managing the shop and, before that, learned the trade from the ground up, working alongside the technicians and getting his hands dirty in the shop. With more than 20 years in the automotive industry, Niko started his career in the parts business before moving into automotive repair, where he found his true passion.

SGI Inspections
We offer SGI Trailer inspections on all Light & Medium duty trailers 1 thru 4 axles with electric or hydraulic brakes. Keep your equipment in legal standing with SGI and have an annual trailer inspection done today.

Light Vehicle Inspections

Medium Duty Inspections
Inspections for most vehicles 4536kg to 22000kg equipped with hydraulic brakes. (We DO NOT do inspections on vehicles equipped with Air Brakes.)
Motorcycle Inspections
Motorcycles only require a mechanical inspection, which is a 1-hour visual inspection of the structural and body components of the vehicle. Customer must bring a Cross-Canada VIN search or 3rd-party search through a site like CarFax.
Trailer Inspections
Inspections for trailers of all shapes and sizes. Flat decks, dump trailers, camper trailers, etc. From single axle to quad axles we do all sizes. (We DO NOT inspect trailers equipped with air brakes)
We also preform SGI Light Vehicle & Motorcycle noise emission testing
